Turkey is the biggest in the world for production and exporting of sultana raisins. Turkey manages 22% of the world’s sultana raisins production and 85% of Turkey whole sultana raisin production is exported to other countries. Turkish Raisins are made from dried seedless grapes of Vitis Vinifera L. variety. The large, yellow-green grapes that are dried into these raisins are particularly flavorful and soft.
As a traditional ingredient to breads, cookies and cakes, sultanas are also a nutritious addition to breakfast cereals. Parents help kids enjoy their raisins in mini boxes as a part of their lunch box treats.
